History
Château Blanchereau's story dates back to 1891 when the historic Domaine de Blanchereau Genibon was divided into three separate estates: Château Blanchereau, Château de Genibon, and Château Genibon-Blanchereau. In a remarkable reunion, Château Genibon-Blanchereau was rejoined by Château de Genibon in 1989 and finally by Château Blanchereau in 2022, following the retirement of their respective owners. This unification has brought together the rich heritage and expertise of these estates under one name.

Terroir
Area: 34 hectares
Soil: The vineyard is located on the 3rd and 4th lines of slopes parallel to the Dordogne River in the commune of Bourg. It features a mix of clay-limestone, clay-gravel, and clay-silt-sand soils.

Grape Varieties:
Merlot: 80%
Malbec: 20%

Vinification
Château Blanchereau employs classic vinification techniques, including three weeks of vatting in stainless steel and concrete vats. The wine is aged in vats, allowing it to develop its unique characteristics and depth.

Tasting Notes

The palate is an explosion of fresh and crunchy fruits, complemented by a lovely structure.
