Very limited stock, only 80 bottles in the whole country!!

Taking to the Chardonnay vines with the precision of a Renaissance sculptor, Jean-François Clouet carves a brand-new, pure and flawless Blanc de Blancs cuvée from Champagne’s deep, chalky bedrock.

Beautifully presented in a special white-coated bottle with a matching gift box inspired by the chalk walls of the Clouet family’s underground crayères.

Wine With Bok - 9.5/10 Stars
Andre Clouet came out with a completely new wine that caught me by surprise with the packaging. Coming in a white box and a white colour-coated bottle, I almost instantaneously thought this was a special edition for Christmas, a really appealing champagne bottle to be placed under the Christmas tree. Another surprise was that this was made of 100% chardonnay grape varietal. A whiff and I felt a lot of mineral and steely characters, with some ripe fruits mingling in the background. A sip and I think the quality was very good, and immediately strike me with a base vintage reminiscent to 2008, but I was told they use mainly 2013 grapes for this bubble, and they age it in the bottle for 7 to 8 years. The body was stiff and precise, especially when chilled, and really enjoyable when it warmed up slightly in the glass with great ripening fruits that you can feel like a blossoming flower, definitely the follow through of a seductive charm that is worth every single cent of the bubble!

James Suckling - 93 Points
Brimming with fresh apple, lemon and wild-berry aromas underlined by a note of freshly baked baguette, this begins so charmingly, then it turns in a fascinating mineral direction with a pronounced saline quality. The excitement comes from the tension between these two sides of this very distinctive champagne. Very long, chalky finish. 100% chardonnay from the 2013 vintage.

Winemaker Notes
Chalk is the fundamental element of the Champagne terroir! The history of chalk goes back to the Jurassic era, 200 million years ago when the whole region was covered by the sea. Although poor in nutrients, chalk stores both warmth and water, releasing them regularly, providing the perfect foundation for Champagne vines. Draining off the excess, retaining water enriched by microscopic marine fossils, Chalk nourishes the vine with maternal affection, with minerality and an inimitable salinity! Lastly, chalk is the protector of champagne as it ages, allowing itself to be dug into deep underground cellars, where the precious nectar can safely mature, tucked away from the light and fluctuations in temperature.
