A stellar starter pack to delve into the world of red wines! Sourced from Aussie, France, and South Africa, this is an exciting collection of premium wines that won't break the bank.

White Cliff Merlot 2022 (Australia) The 2021 Merlot from White Cliff is soft and lush with inviting notes of black Doris plum, vanilla, and clove. There’s an earthiness on the palate that helps to relieve the sweetness from the ripe fruit flavour and it’s the balance of tannin and acid that brings it all together. Drink this one with an easy weeknight spaghetti bolognese for the perfect match.

Putiki Lodge Martinborough Pinot Noir 2018 (New Zealand) Your first sip is like a walk through a mystical forest—deep notes of wild blackberries meld with smoky mushroom and hints of forest floor. Dancing in the background are heady tones of vanilla and clove, offering a complex yet balanced palate.

McPherson XV Pure Cabernet Merlot 2020 Since 1968, McPherson Wines have been one of Australia's most well-known family-run wineries. They grow grapes in estate vineyards located in Central Victoria and the Murray Darling region, and they source grapes from trusted growers in the area. Their 2020 Pure Cabernets is made from Cabernet taken from their estate vineyards with Merlot added for softness, colour, and flavour. Individual fruit parcels were kept separate through fermentation before being meticulously picked over and only the best chosen for the final blend. This is a wine to be both drunk now but also kept over the next 5 years. Decant, swirl, and enjoy!

Prestige de Calvet Côtes Du Rhône 2021 Warming and rich, perfect for the cooler months! The Cotes du Rhone is the home of Syrah in France. In the north its usually made as a single varietal (although sometimes mixed with a splash of Viognier) and in the south, it can be mixed into a blend of up to 7 grapes. The Prestige de Calvet Syrah is grown in the south and is blended with Grenache, creating a sumptuous red which is the perfect pairing to any winter meal. Ripe cherries and jammy strawberries mingle with vanilla and Christmas cake spice on the palate. Drink this one now!

Four Cousins Collection Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 is a young South African Cab Sauv from the Four Cousins Collection with an easy drinking style and full-bodied flavour. Once grapes for the 2021 Four Cousins Cab had reached full ripeness, they were picked by hand from estate vineyards and transferred to the winery. The ethos behind this brand is wines made for everyday drinking, and we think they've nailed it with this one! Warm notes of wood and bramble mingle with sweet vanilla and a touch of coffee.

Four Cousins Collection Merlot 2021 (South Africa) is easy drinking soft Merlot from the Van Loveren Family Vineyards. Soft red berries, vanilla and a woody, bramble finish make it best paired with hard cheeses and blushing meats like duck and lamb.
